This post is dedicated to my “children of the 80s” without whom I would be woefully ignorant of the following:
Maya the Bee:
The World of David the Gnome:
The Adventures of the Little Koala:
Eureeka’s Castle:
Mr. Wizard’s World:
Sharon Lois and Bram’s Elephant Show:
When Lisa was an infant I spent an inordinate amount of time rocking and nursing her in the living room (she was my last baby and I savored every moment) while Chris played at my feet. At the time, we lived in the country and had one of those gigantic satellite dishes. It was really difficult to change from one satellite channel to another so David would make sure it was set on either the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon before he left for work each morning and that’s pretty much where it would stay all day. Needless to say, I watched a LOT of cartoons with the kids. It was a precious time in our lives.

Can you believe that my wife laughed at me when I told her these were the kinds of shows I watched after school? She was an MTV girl and missed out on all this fun.
Cherie says
I had forgotten about some of these shows – thanks for the reminder.

Rob: Nickelodeon was so much better. Even back when MTV actually featured music videos. 😉 I checked out your blog, left you a comment about homeschooling and am now following you via Facebook Networked Blogs.
Cherie: I started out just looking for the Maya the Bee video and one thing led to another. I had forgotten some of them, too.
