Monday:
David has an evening meeting and Chris is going out with friends. David is just picking himself up something in town and I’ll make a sandwich or something to eat while working on Christmas cards.
Tuesday:
We had a change of plans last week and I didn’t make this meal. I’ll try again!
- Curried Vegetable Stew
- rice
- salad
Wednesday:
We will go to my cousin’s at noon for our family Christmas celebration. It’s potluck and I’m bringing:
- homemade cranberry sauce
- a big green salad and homemade salad dressing
After our church candlelight service our tradition is to drive through the park to see the Christmas light display. We then come home and watch “Charlie Brown Christmas” while eating:
- grilled hot dogs
- chips and dip
- fruit
Thursday – Christmas Day:
The kids come over early in the morning to open gifts and have breakfast:
- homemade waffles
- my special syrup (I’ll share the “recipe” later)
- bacon
- mimosas
My parents join us around 10 or 11. We’ll save them some waffles if they want any. We’ve also issued an open invitation to anyone in our HMA “family” who might not have a place to go or just want to come hang out with us. They are welcome anytime after 1 p.m. I will the following items on hand for do-it-yourself snacking:
- turkey (will cook turkey breast in crockpot on Wednesday and slice for sandwiches)
- sandwich fixings
- homemade cranberry sauce
- chips and dip
- cake
- other snack items
Friday:
- leftovers
Saturday:
I think I’ll get David to take me out to eat somewhere.
Sunday:
I don’t know the kids’ plans yet. If they are around and want to come over for game night I’ll come up with something simple.

Merry Christmas!
