Well, I’m back with a regular menu this week!
Dee’s Weekly Menu
Monday
David and I have a meeting about the upcoming city music festival. We are meeting at a local wine and dessert bar at 4 p.m. David has a fire fighter meeting at 6. The wine bar serves a really nice fruit and cheese platter so I think we’ll just order one during our meeting and call it dinner.
Tuesday
- Asian Pasta Salad (if it turns out well I’ll share the recipe later this week)
Wednesday
I’m planning to go to the farmers market Wednesday morning and make dinner from whatever I find
- salad
- fresh veggies
- fruit
Thursday
We’ve booked WoodWired Duo at the local Italian restaurant this evening and I really want to see them. We’ll eat dinner there.
Friday
- roasted chicken
- mashed potatoes
- carrots
- salad
Saturday
- grilled hot dogs
- homemade potato salad
- chips
- fruit
Sunday
Lunch at local Mexican restaurant and leftovers for dinner.

Monday: spinach lasagne.
Tuesday: Take-Away, since we both have a roleplaying game this afternoon, and I want to make use of the leftover meals I have in the freezer this weekend.
Wednesday: Either pie or quiche (haven’t decided which to make yet) with potatoes and veggies.
As for the rest of the week… I have three leftover meals in the freezer at the moment, and will make sure there are leftovers from Wednesday for Thursday. That will give me four leftover meals, and cover me for the rest of the week. That means I can focus on getting some serious editing work done on a story I have that’s done but for those edits, even though I also have a roleplaying game on Saturday, but without having to worry about cooking and doing much cleanup from dinner (yet still eating homemade meals, rather than ordering take-away again). Hubby has plenty of stuff he can cook up quickly with little mess too, so it will mean no dinner prep beyond pulling things out of the freezer, little cooking time required, and not much washing up to do afterwards. Leaving me free to focus on the editing and my game, as well as leaving me free to actually relax during breaks.
