We will be going to my cousin’s house for our big annual Christmas Eve get-together. It will be the usual turkey/ham/all-the-fixings potluck meal. I’m bringing:
- homemade cranberry sauce
- oatmeal cake
Our traditional, post-Christmas Eve church service late-night supper:
- grilled hot dogs (organic, no nitrates)
- chips and dip
- leftover cake
Sunday:
The kids will be here bright and early for our usual Christmas morning ritual of gifts, breakfast and board games.
- homemade waffles
- bacon or sausage
- mimosas made with fresh-squeezed orange juice and champagne
I plan to have easy-on-the-cook food on hand for the rest of the day:
- turkey breast in the crockpot
- homemade cranberry sauce
- potato casserole
- layered salad
- rolls
In addition, I hope to make some pumpkin bread for extra gifts. We shall see if that actually materializes!
