David will be out of town overnight on business so I think I’ll just have a salad. Or tea and toast.
Thursday:
A friend (whom we think of as family) will be in town and figured the best way to get to see everyone was to meet up at our favorite Italian restaurant/bar. We normally eat there once a week but we haven’t been there since before our last trip to New Orleans.
Friday:
I got call earlier this afternoon from a friend who invited us to join them and a number of other friends at a local wine and dessert bar. It’s from 8-10 and there will be hors d’oeuvres and such. I think we’ll just have a nice salad before we go.
Saturday:
New Year’s Eve! Our favorite local bartender is being deployed the first of February so this will be his last night to bartend at *our* Italian restaurant/bar. We plan to go see him and eat a little something there then we’re going to the New Year’s Eve party at the same wine and dessert bar we are going to on Friday. There will be champagne and live music. David has already booked a hotel room for us in town so we won’t have to get out on the highway with those who may have over-indulged.
