Interesting, huh? Did you grow up eating T.V. Dinners? We did occasionally. Mom let us each pick out our favorite and as I recall, we did eat them in front of the t.v. on t.v. trays. Every family I knew had a set of folding trays which stored on a metal rack. The first ones I remember had metal trays but later versions were usually fiberglass. I’d actually love to find a set of the metal ones. Hmm…eBay, here I come!
Anyway, those original dinners really weren’t awful. At least they were better than the current microwaved versions. I think baking in the oven made the texture better. Or perhaps as a little kid I just didn’t know any better. 😉
