My daughter is hosting “Changing the World One Day and One Blog at a Time” on her site, Retro Housewife. You can read about it here. In our household, we participated in Earth Hour tonight and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a leisurely meal by candlelight lasting more than the required hour and then proceeded to clean the kitchen by candlelight, too. We’d like to make this a weekly event.
The other *green* thing I did today was to use my re-usable grocery bags at the various stops I made in town, thus saving at least 6-8 plastic bags. It might not be much but I really believe every little bit helps.

Maurices sales cute shopping bags now. Also Wal-marts are starting to carry them so I will be watching for them at ours, when we get them they are only $1.

I have decided also to take one day a week to be really “green” and then the rest of the week I will be “sort of” green. I use my reusable shopping bags all the time now WHEN I remember to take them with me. I have only just gotten them so I tend to run out without them. I’ve since put them into my truck so I can at least run out to the truck and get the bags if I forget to take them in.
