A friend of mine in New Orleans mentioned this great idea she had for getting local bars to host “Tiara Tuesdays”. Ladies wearing tiaras would get reduced price drinks. I thought this was brilliant. I mean, really. A good excuse to wear my tiara AND save money? What could be better.
The other night while out with friends at one of our local hang-outs, I told Joe the Bartender about “Tiara Tuesdays”. And I suggested that the drink special for the night should be Cape Cods (vodka and cranberry juice) since that is the drink of choice for at least two princesses I know. đŸ˜‰ The next thing I know, “Tiara Tuesdays” are on at the North Lounge. Last night was the first of what I hope will become a regular event. I should have brought my camera. These pictures were taken on our iPhones so they aren’t very good but I think you’ll get the idea.

Another popular spot in town is Vintage 22, a beautiful wine and dessert bar. They host “Trivia Tuesdays”, starting at 8 p.m. This works out perfectly with our “Tiara Tuesdays” at the North Lounge. We meet up at North for dinner and a drink or two and then head over to Vintage for a rousing game of trivia. I can see this becoming our regular summer routine.
