Road trip! My friend, Roz, and I spent a week in New Orleans and despite the trepidation some expressed, we behaved admirably. I came home with a burn on my hand and a stubbed toe but no criminal record so I count that as a success.
We ate delicious food, listened to wonderful music, went sight-seeing with the funniest person I know (Roz’s friend, Kathie), attended a cooking demonstration, were given V.I.P. tickets to the NOLA bartenders finals, spent late night hours sitting in the courtyard with our feet in the hot tub, talked and laughed. And laughed some more. We ate raw oysters and po’boys. We shopped. But mostly we just soaked up the whole experience of being in the city we both adore.
