This week/weekend I will be attending the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, one of the most adventurously curated music festivals in the world. This will be my first time to attend, but I’m going with a friend who has been multiple times, and he has prepared me for a dynamic, powerful experience of music, art, film, and talks. I will report back soon.

In the meantime, I have decided that the first week of Spring was a good chance to look back over the first quarter of 2017 and highlight some of the tracks that I have not yet covered in previous playlists. These are all tracks which have been on repeat for me and that I thought deserved attention. Some of these you might already be familiar with, but hopefully you find a few new-to-you gems. As always, this playlist is all over the map, stylistically.
