Have you been wondering about our Raccoon Witness Relocation Program? I don’t know if I shared the final count here or just on Facebook, but we relocated 14 raccoons. FOURTEEN! And then they seemed to get the hint that they were not welcome guests. In the past few weeks we haven’t had any in the laundry room. Until last night. This morning I noticed that the door to the cabinet where we store the cat food was standing open and the opened bag of cat food was several feet away and mostly empty. And the really obvious sign was the filthy water in the cat’s water dish where it (they?) had washed up. Oh, great.
Then tonight Chris opened the door to the laundry room and exclaimed, “Whoa!”. A VERY large raccoon was exiting through the doggy door. So David apparently still has a hobby although I suspect he may be taking a different approach. There is currently a shotgun by the back door. I understand but I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that. I know that raccoons are very smart. Do you think they might also be telepathic? I’m transmitting “stay away!” signals, just in case.
