As most of my readers know, we eat a lot of meat-free meals. A couple of years ago we went vegetarian for a year. You can read more about that here. These days I usually cook mostly vegetarian at home and try to select organic, humanely-raised meats and poultry for those times we do eat meat. It’s a personal issue and I’m not going to preach about it one way or another, especially since I’m sort of a fence-straddler myself. I do, however, think it’s good to be informed and to make conscious decisions about what we eat.
