My husband and I have done quite a bit of decluttering the past few years. All of our usual activities came to a halt with COVID so we found ourselves with some time on our hands. David’s retirement is within sight and with it will come our planned downsizing. That means that 40 years worth of accumulation has to be addressed. Have you heard of Swedish Death Cleaning? It may sound morbid but it makes a lot of sense, especially for those of us who are getting older. I want to take care of my own things and not leave it for my kids to deal with after I’m gone.
Decluttering doesn’t have to take huge chunks of time. There are things that can be dealt with a few minutes at a time.
