Today was just gorgeous. I had a meeting in town this morning and had some errands to run later. In between I ate lunch in the park overlooking the small lake. I took this picture from our driveway as I was returning home this afternoon. Despite the record heat and drought this summer, we’ve had some amazing fall color. Unfortunately I think the dogwood trees across the front of our yard may have succumbed to the drought so we didn’t get their usual dramatic burgundy-colored leaves and red berries but most of the other trees are putting on quite a show.
November thankfulness:
I am thankful for a day of 70+ degree temperatures and azure skies. Winter will soon be upon us so I’m soaking up every bit of warmth until that happens.
