When you live in a small town it can be a real challenge to find certain items, especially organic and bulk foods. Fortunately we have a drop location for Azure Standard. I didn’t order much this time but I thought I’d share anyway.

As I said, I didn’t buy much this time. I need to do a panty inventory and then stock up for the winter. I like to keep a good supply of things like rice, beans, lentils, pasta, baking supplies, etc.
One new-to-me item I bought this time is cheddar cheese powder. By mixing it with butter and milk you can make cheese sauce. I thought this might be handy to have in the pantry.

Keeping a well stocked pantry – regardless of the size of it – is always a good idea. I always make sure I’ve got a decent supply of the non-perishable items. It’s rare for us to not be able to get to fetch what we need. But you never know.

There are so many reasons it’s convenient to have the essentials on hand. Even if you live close to the shops no one wants to go shopping when the weather is awful or you have a bad cold.
