When your kids know more than you do about something, it’s only smart to take advantage of that. For instance, my daughter, Lisa, built this website for me and provides tech support. And now I’m utilizing my son’s encyclopedic knowledge of music to provide a new feature for Life With Dee. So often I hear…
Music Monday ~ The Dudes
This summer our city has been hosting “Music in the Park” a couple of Sunday evenings a month. We have a music promotion company and were asked to schedule bands for these evenings. It’s been a huge success and they are planning to have these every Sunday evening next summer. Last night The Dudes played….
Music Monday ~ “More Than a Feeling”
Nothing makes a Monday better than a little music, right? This past Thursday was my birthday and David bought us tickets to see Boston. It’s always fun to see bands you listened to as a teenager. We had great seats – 4 rows from the stage in the center section. However, the Tall…
Life is still good in New Orleans
Just a quick update: We arrived in New Orleans Friday afternoon and have been going strong ever since. Music, food, and friends…yes, life is still good here. As soon as I…
30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 7
On this, the 7th “Day of Thankfulness”, I’m thankful for music. I simply cannot imagine life without it. Music gives me energy when I’m tired, cheers me when I’m feeling low, calms me when I’m agitated and always…always soothes my soul. One of our favorite things to do in New Orleans is listen to live…
HMF is going to the dogs
Not only do people enjoy Happyland Music Fest (HMF) but the dogs have a great time, too. This is Herman and this was his second year at HMF. (I wish I had taken one with a human next to him for size comparison. He is HUGE!) Calla is a veteran. She’s attended all five HMFs….
Happyland Music Fest – Part I
We are still trying to recover from Happyland Music Fest last weekend. I did get my kitchen clean and I moved all the stuff left in my family room to the exercise room and closed the door…which is my latest excuse for not getting on the treadmill. The house is basically back to livable standards….
