I’ve been participating in a very interesting conversation on Facebook tonight about poverty and hunger in our own community. The statistics are staggering. I’m encouraged to see the conversation moving into the realm of what we can do about it. Some very intriguing ideas are being tossed about and I’m encouraged by the compassion I see.
Tonight I am thankful for:
Enough. I have enough healthy food to eat, a comfortable house, reliable transportation, clothing and all other necessities. Millions around the world cannot make that claim and that saddens me. But more importantly, it makes me want to do something about it.
