Ever since I can remember, books have been one of my favorite things. I can escape to a different world within the pages of a book. And while I love my Kindle, I must admit that there really isn’t anything to compare to the look, feel and smell of a real book. We have thousands of books in our house. The picture above is in our library but we have shelves full of books in several other rooms of the house, too, and I can’t imagine life without them.
Today I am thankful for books. And now I think I’ll go to bed and read one. I’ve just got a few pages left of “Fresh From the Country” and then I’m going to re-read an old favorite, “Anne of Green Gables”. Do you have old favorites you like to re-read once in awhile?

i am catching up on blog reading – woefully behind. So I have a favorite book I always go back to? Just ONE? You want me to limit it to ONE? Out house has hundreds (possibly thousands) of books in it, too, and I am anxiously dreaming of all those books I inherited that I will be bringing home next summer. But a book I love to reread… I'll just grab one off the shelf: Thunderhead by Mary O'Hara. It starts with a thunderstorm moving across eastern Idaho…

I re-read my whole set of Anne books every year, and also my Pern books.

Jaci: Of course I wouldn't limit you to just one. Leave me a list. 🙂 And when you get those books home and sorted, I want a picture.

Lori: I didn't discover Anne until my early 30s but she captured my heart. I've read most of the series but there are two I don't have. I think I'll buy the last two and read them all.
