I remember watching Mister Rogers as a child although I was a bit older than the target audience. I was seven when the show began but I had younger brothers and cousins. We all spent a lot of time at our grandparents’ house and Grandma always turned this on for us to watch each day. Even though I was a little old for it, I still enjoyed it. And when I had children I was happy to share this excellent program with them. I so appreciated the calm, quiet, slow pace…so different from most children’s programming.
A couple of my friends shared the article, “Is Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood the Greatest Television Show Ever Made?” today on Facebook and I saved it to read this evening.
