Do you ever watch those grocery hauls on YouTube? Lisa told me about them and now I’m hooked. I don’t know why they are so fascinating to me. I guess I’m just nosy curious. I watch everything from vegans who shop exclusively at Whole Foods to those who buy a lot of processed foods from regular grocery stores. In some ways, I find the latter more interesting because I see products I didn’t know existed.
Lisa and I did our big monthly grocery shopping yesterday. We skipped January and decided to go on up to Oklahoma City (instead of just Norman) so we could go to Sprouts, Native Roots and Whole Foods. Since we only do that every 2-3 months I went ahead and bought more than I might have otherwise. After last month’s minimal shopping I still had a lot of food on hand so I’m extremely well-stocked now. I quickly listed 30 dinners I can make from the ingredients I have on hand and I know I can come up with a lot more, too.
So here’s what I’ve bought for the month of February:

One of these days I’m going to do a YouTube grocery haul video but last night was not the time. I did at least manage to arrange everything on the table and take the picture above before putting it all away. David was amazed I was actually able to find room for everything but, hey, everyone needs a skill and that’s mine. If you blog about your grocery shopping trips and/or make YouTube grocery haul videos (or have some to recommend) please leave me a comment. I’d love to check it out!
Update: My daughter, Lisa, has now posted her version of our shopping trip. Check it out here.
