Welcome to the fourth week of October’s LWD Grocery Haul series in which I share our weekly grocery purchases, including prices. I’m always curious to see what others purchase and what food prices are in different countries or regions. I hope you are finding this series interesting and helpful.

Our weekly menu…
It was a busy week and we had some changes from our planned menu. We did have the planned meals on Monday and Wednesday. I moved Thursday’s meal to Friday.
On Tuesday night, we had an invitation to join friends for cocktails by their fire pit. We picked up pizzas on the way and we all had a much-needed time together. They are also dealing with an elderly parent in the same facility where my mom is now.
Thursday night, it was already getting late when we left after visiting Mom so we picked up sub sandwiches at Jimmy John’s.
Saturday, we decided to get my car serviced in the city. We had a very late lunch at a restaurant up there and skipped dinner.
On Sunday, we picked up dinner at Braum’s, again after visiting Mom. I’m going to cut myself some slack regarding dinners while we are getting Mom settled. I have been spending around an hour cleaning at her house most days as well as visiting her at the assisted living center once or twice a day. If that means picking up dinner a few nights a week right now, so be it.
