The start of a new year and a new decade calls for a new blog, right? Right? (Is this thing on?) For some time I’ve been thinking it would be nice to have all my recipes organized online in one place. I’m frequently asked to share recipes which I usually do by copying to an email and sending it to the person who asked for it. Now, with my new blog, I’ll be able to just share the link and people can search for whatever recipe they want. That is, once I get them uploaded. 😉 That’s going to be a long process but in the meantime, I’m blogging about any new recipes I try for dinner. I’ve even been taking pictures of the finished dishes. I’m no Pioneer Woman and at least so far I’ve not had any interest in photographing the individual steps, but I even I can manage a picture after I pull the pan from the oven.
I will also be moving Menu Monday to the new blog. There will be cookbook reviews, discussions about healthy, natural and organic foods, and hopefully guest posts from some of my foodie friends. I’ll still keep the widget in the sidebar of Tea With Dee that lists what our dinner plans are but if you want to check out our weekly menus and recipes, you’ll need to go to Dee’s Kitchen. It’s all part of my plan regarding the direction for this blog.
When I started The Well-Groomed Hippie, that was so I’d have a place to blog about potentially controversial topics. Likewise, Dee’s Kitchen will cover food topics. I’m not quite ready to share where I’m going with Tea With Dee except to say I want to make it a bit more focused. My readers are a very diverse group who read my writings for different reasons. I’m in hopes that by separating topics into different blogs, my readers will be able to choose to read the blog or blogs that are most meaningful to them. We are all busy people and if someone has been reading strictly for my food-related posts, they will now be able to have those all in one place and not have to wade through posts about all those other things that happen to pop into my head and find their way to this blog.
So, go take a peak at Dee’s Kitchen. And if you have any ideas or suggestions, do let me know. It’s definitely a work in progress.

I LOVE your kitchen… is that really yours? It is beautiful!
Thank you. Yes, it's my kitchen. Several years ago we totally gutted the original kitchen. It was really, really ugly and not user friendly. I had been collecting magazine photos and ideas for about 3 years. I love the way it turned out. Apparently other people do, too. We had a party here last night and despite a nice, big family room, most of us spent a good portion of the night hanging out in the kitchen. 🙂
