Hello, friends! And welcome to Day 5 of the Fabulous Fall Series. Today we will make some plans for those upcoming chilly evenings at home.
Fabulous Fall
Day 5
When daytime temperatures drop into the 60s and nights get a little chilly, I refer to that as “puzzle weather”. There is something rather peaceful about working on a puzzle in the evenings – maybe with some music playing quietly in the background. I also enjoy a good game of Scrabble or if we have a group, Cards Against Humanity.
Let’s prepare for quiet evenings at home by setting out a puzzle for the family to work on. Maybe pull out a couple of games to play, too. I’m going to clear space on our coffee table for the Scrabble board.
Start thinking about fun things to do indoors as the weather gets cooler. If you have kids, ask them for suggestions, too.
Fall is a great time to indulge in some favorite hobbies, as well.
Our assignments for Day 5:
- Set up a puzzle for the family to work on. Check local thrift stores for puzzles. Or if you have friends who also enjoy them, ask about swapping. My daughter and I have done that.
- Pull out a couple of games or set out a deck of cards. Turn off the television and bond with your family around the game table.
- Take a look at the printable checklist you made on Day 1 and pick an item or two to work on.
Treat of the day:
Indulge in a new game, puzzle or even a fresh pack of cards then schedule a family game night within the next few days. Bake some cookies or buy a favorite snack item.
