You see the picture of my kitchen at the top of this blog? My nice, pretty, CLEAN kitchen? Well, this morning it doesn’t look like that. We hosted the third annual Happyland Music Fest this weekend with somewhere around 75 people here camping, eating, drinking, and listening to live music and traipsing in and out of my house, so this is what my kitchen looks like this morning. And that’s AFTER unloading the dishwasher, loading the dirty dishes and throwing away a bunch of trash. Guess what I’m doing this Memorial Day? 😉
I made homemade potato salad and jambalaya Saturday for the Music Fest and we also have hot dogs, chips and various other items leftover. That will be reflected in my menu this week.
Monday:
- jambalaya
- homemade potato salad
- fruit
Tuesday:
- grilled hot dogs
- potato salad
- baked beans
- salad
Wednesday:
- Chef salads
- glazed carrots
- Frosted Cauliflower (some of last week’s menu didn’t actually happen)
Thursday:
David’s birthday is Saturday and a friend’s birthday is Friday. We are going out of town so we will be celebrating the two together Thursday night by going out for dinner and drinks with a bunch of our usual cohorts.
Friday and Saturday:
David and I are going to Oklahoma City for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. We will be staying at the lovely Skirvin Plaza Hotel and enjoying a peaceful, relaxing weekend together. I can hardly wait!
My mom loves your kitchen!
Very Good.
