Happy Thanksgiving! It’s one of my favorite holidays. No pressure to decorate extensively or buy gifts. Just good food with friends and family. May you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Monday:
- We will be out of town. We went to Tulsa Sunday to celebrate Thanksgiving with my brother’s family (my parents were there as well) and then to Joplin on Monday for a funeral.
Tuesday:
- homemade egg rolls
- fried rice
- homemade sweet and sour sauce
(I never did get around to making this last week.)
Wednesday:
- twice-baked potatoes
- tossed green salad
- homemade bread or rolls
Thursday:
We will be having our Thanksgiving Day meal at my parents. She’s cooking the turkey. I’m bringing the mashed potatoes, a layered salad, corn and maybe a pie. We’ll have all the usual side dishes like stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls and desserts.
Friday:
- David, Chris and I plan to enjoy a quiet day at home. Since I won’t have prepared the meal the day before I probably won’t have the usual leftovers unless my mom sends some home with me. I’m well-stocked with food here at home so I’ll just play it by ear. Perhaps I’ll make a big pot of soup, homemade rolls and some type of dessert.
Saturday:
- Date night 🙂
