THIS WEEK WITH DEE
I watched a video of a woman who lived like the 1940s for 48 hours and that put me in the mood for some 40s-era music. Enjoy!

IN MY HOME:
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
Maintenance. That’s all I managed last week and likely all I will do the rest of this month until after AdaFest. If we have clean sheets, clean laundry, clean-ish bathrooms and a clean kitchen that will have to be good enough.
THIS WEEK
Other than East End Eats (live music and food truck event we are hosting) I don’t think we have any activities this week. No meetings or anything else I’m aware of yet. That’s a good thing because I have a LOT of social media marketing to do for AdaFest.
WORK
At the risk of redundancy, my focus is on AdaFest. There’s a pretty good chance there won’t be any more blog posts this month. I mean, I HOPE to post a few times but I’m not making any promises.
READING
This just hasn’t been happening much lately. I’m hoping to finish last month’s Book Club selection this week because I’m really looking forward to digging into the selection for August – Down to Earth: a guide to simple living.
SELF CARE
We have some cooler temperatures this week so stargazing is on my self care list. In fact, as soon as I finish this post I’m heading outside with a little whiskey and this month’s LWD playlist on my phone.
HEALTH AND FITNESS
The best I can probably pull off the rest of this month is my usual morning floor exercises, taking my supplements every day and trying to get at least 6 hours of sleep a night. If I can do those things I’ll count it a win.
FUN ACTIVITIES
East End Eats will be fun even though there is also some work involved (more so for David who sets up and runs the sound system).
I’d also like to rent the new movie, Jungle Cruise one night for the three of us to watch. I recently discovered that we can order popcorn at the local movie theater and get it to go. We aren’t comfortable going to a crowded movie theater these days but I sure would love some of their (totally unhealthy) popcorn.
HABIT OF THE WEEK
My son, Chris, and I have decided to choose a habit challenge each week and keep one another accountable. This week we are committing to daily meditation.

Pantry Stocking For Uncertain Times
I’d share my plan for this week – even though I’m late in here – but there’s no point. Things got messed up by Tuesday, and by Wednesday I’d reached the point where I’d had enough, so Thursday became a day to literally only do essential tasks (I literally put my phone on do not disturb, only checked eMails briefly to deal with time sensative things I knew would come in some time during the afternoon, and spent all the rest of the day I didn’t need to be up doing essential pet/household tasks curled up in bed listening to an audiobook). Do I now feel ready to deal with things? Not entirely. But it helped a little.
Sometimes you just need a day off. Hope you feel ready to take on a new week by Monday.
A lot more so than I was, but if I could I’d take more time out to be honest. Commitments made it impossible though, since as it is I’ve now kept one of my narrators waiting for several days. But I was fecilitating book club in place of the usual person Friday, and some of the comments made by the regulars who were glad I’d stepped in helped (I knew the usual facilitator appreciated my stepping in for her, but getting obvious comments of appreciation and gratitude from so many others made my evening, and definitely helped with how I was feeling).
