I’m not sure if this will be a regular feature but I’m thinking that I’ll do a “week in review” post on Saturdays. I know that there are times I haven’t kept up with everything on my favorite blogs and I hate to mark the posts “read” in my Feedly reader when I haven’t read them. But then, before you know it, I’ve got hundreds and hundreds of posts saved with no hope of ever catching up. It occurred to me that if I that happens to me, it probably happens to other blog readers. So, I thought…why not do a sort of catch-up post at the end of the week? And that’s what this is.
Here are the links to all the posts I’ve written on Life With Dee this week. If you’ve missed any, just click on the link and you’ll be able to catch up.
- Life With Dee’s first giveaway

Podcast of the week:
I love listening to podcasts and am always on the lookout for new ones to enjoy. If you have any favorites, please leave me a comment and share the link. This week I found Gretchen Rubin’s podcast, “Happier”. I’ve read a couple of her books but somehow I hadn’t realized she also has a podcast. She does it along with her sister, Elizabeth, who is hilarious. I encourage you to check them out.
Course I’m working through:
I will readily admit I’m not a morning person. I kind of was when I was younger but after working the 3-11 p.m. shift as a nurse and then raising two teenagers who were bats (they came alive at night) I turned into a night owl. Which would be okay if my husband didn’t have to get up at 6:30 in the morning. I’m trying to regain my ability to be at least semi-functional in the mornings because I really do have more to do than I have time for these days. I signed up for Crystal Paine’s course and am about half way through it. I’m encouraged that what I’m learning might actually have a positive impact. If you struggle with mornings, take a look at it.

What I’ve been watching:
David and I don’t always enjoy the same television programs but we both love The Donna Reed Show and have been watching the episodes in order. We are currently on the third season. The shows are quite well-written and just a pleasant way to spend a half hour or so.
Best Meal:
My mom invited us over last night for a belated birthday dinner. She makes the best tacos! She also baked me a chocolate birthday cake. Yum.
Music:
I love to make Spotify playlists. A couple of years ago I made a new one each month of the year. Here is one I call Songs of September:
My top Pinterest board:
I checked my Pinterest analytics and apparently I’m not the only one who loves France. Here is my most popular board:
Coming next week:
- A grocery haul
- at least one recipe
- some goals I’m working on
- my story of eating escargot in Paris
If you haven’t entered my giveaway, you still have time:
Only available until Monday – don’t delay!:
So, that’s it for Dee’s Week in Review. Please let me know if this sort of post is something you’d like me to continue to do. I’d also like to know what other types of posts you’d like to see on Life With Dee. Please leave me a comment. Oh, and if you haven’t done so already, sign up for my newsletter (on the sidebar). I haven’t decided for sure which day of the week I’ll be sending it out but I’ll get all these things worked out soon. Have a fabulous weekend!
I really enjoyed it!! There were a couple of posts I gad missed and enjoyed reading them!! I hope you’ll keep it up, when time permits!!
Thanks, Roz. I was just thinking in terms of what I, as a blog reader, would enjoy. Glad to hear others agree.
I generally click in from facebook on any posts you have but if this were a regular feature I’d not feel I had to do it right away and could save my reading for Saturdays.
BTW did you happen to see the link on Vanished Paris about the treehouse restaurants in the Chestnut trees? Awesome photographs and most intriguing!
I’m glad to hear a review post would be helpful. I haven’t see the link you mention but I’m heading there now to check it out. Thanks!
What a great idea and what a busy and interesting lady you are!
So nice to “see” you here. I’m looking forward to more blog posts on your site. 🙂
