This month’s LWD Book Club selection is “Elegance”, a book I’ve had for several years but haven’t read yet.
I did some book decluttering this past weekend, something REALLY hard for me. One thing I realized is that I have SO MANY unread books. I truly must stop buying books until I make my way through a good number of what I already have.

Elegance
by Kathleen Tessaro
Louise C. wants what Jackie O had . . .
Unhappy with her looks, her life, and her empty marriage, Louise Canova needs help—and she finds it in a secondhand bookstore. A forty-year-old encyclopedia of style titled Elegance, the slim volume by formidable French fashion expert Madame Dariaux promises to transform even the plainest of women into creatures of poise and grace. It is a fairy godmother in print, an A-to-Z manual with essential advice that Louise vows to take to heart. But within its pages lie not only clues from her past, but also powerful lessons for the future.
And as the old Louise gives way to the stunning new, she’s about to find out that there’s more to every life than what appears on the surface … and that everything, even elegance, has its price.

Must stop buying books until the to-read pile goes down… Yeah, I tried telling myself that. Hope you have better luck than I did. Haha!

I doubt I’ll be successful very long – ha!

I have this book! I have read it but will re-read it for the book club. Will there be discussions?
Deanna Piercy says
If there is interest, I’d be happy to do so. Let me think about the best way to do it. Or if you have any suggestions…

Since it’s a “book club” I didn’t know if people were talking about the book, or if you were just reading it yourself and offering it as a suggestion.

I had tried setting up a Facebook event to discuss a book a long time ago but didn’t get much interest. I’m still kicking around the idea of starting a group on Mighty Networks and that might be a good place for book discussions.
