It’s the first day of December which means it’s time for the LWD Book Club selections. It’s a busy month for most of us so I chose a couple of shorter classics plus a cosy novel for one of those quiet “curl-up-with-a-book” days after Christmas.

LWD December Book Club Selections
Winter Solstice – Rosamunde Pilcher
I have long been a fan of Rosamunde Pilcher and have read almost all of her books. Except this one which I can’t wait to read after the hectic holidays. We like to leave our tree and other decorations up well into January and one of my all-time favorite things to do is spend a long, quiet afternoon reading with the tree lit after David and Chris have gone back to work.
Little Women – Louisa May Alcott
One of my favorite childhood books, Christmas is the perfect time for reading it again. It’s been years and I am well overdue for some time with Jo, Amy, Beth and Meg.
A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens
Finally, what would Christmas be without a visit from Scrooge?
I’d love to hear what your favorite seasonal books are. Or anything else you are reading at the moment, for that matter. Books…I always enjoy talking about books.

Great choices! I’ve read all three, and loved them… Esepcially “Winter Solstice” and “A Christmas Carol” which I’ve read both of several times.
My book review post for November goes up on my blog on Sunday, if you want to check out what I read last month, and what I thought of the books I read.

It’s a beautiful story… I’ll be very surprised if you don’t love it.
