I’m not sure three recipes qualifies as a “recipe collection” but I figure I might as well keep up the tradition of putting the year’s recipes all in one post. I suppose it also serves as a reminder to me that I need to be more intentional about sharing recipes in 2024!

2023
RECIPE COLLECTION
I’m not entirely sure why I shared so few recipes this year because I for certain cooked a LOT. In fact, it sometimes seems like all I do is plan menus, order groceries, cook and do dishes.
Yet here are the only three recipes from 2023:
Baked Lima Beans ~ A Vintage Recipe
I hope to do better this year. I’m calling 2024 “My Year of Julia Child” which I’ll be posting about in more detail soon. I feel certain I’ll be more inspired in the kitchen and will share that inspiration with y’all here on the blog. Fingers crossed, anyway!
I may not have shared many recipes but I did start two new series in 2023.
- Each month I do a post where I share 12 dinners we had in the previous 4 weeks. If I have a recipe I link to it, whether it’s mine or something I found elsewhere. Sometimes we get in a rut with meals so I find it helpful to see what other real families are eating. I hope it gives a few ideas for your own menus.
A Dozen Dinner Ideas:
2. The other blog series I did in 2023 were vintage menus from an old cookbook I have:
Vintage Menu Plans – A Month-by-month collection of vintage menu plans
I can’t honestly say I’d follow all of these exactly but it’s still interesting to see menus from an earlier era.
