LWD January Book Club Selections
I’ll be sharing more about this later but I’ve chosen a theme for each month of 2017. Many of the posts and at least one book club selection each month will reflect the chosen theme.
January’s theme is Organization and Time Management. There are SO many books about these topics and I’ll be sharing some of my favorites throughout the month. For our LWD Book Club, I’ve chosen an old classic, Organizing From the Inside Out by Julie Morgenstern. You may already own a copy and your library is very likely to have it.
“Drawing on her years of experience as a professional organizer, Morgenstern outlines a simple organizing plan that starts with understanding your individual goals, natural habits, and psychological needs, so that you can work with your priorities and personality rather than against them. The basic steps-Analyze, Strategize, Attack-can be applied to any space or situation.”
Organizing From the Inside Out
Next up is Your Best Year Yet! by Jinny S. Ditzler.
“…a fun, proven, interactive workshop-in-a-book that offers a transformational, goal-oriented program based on ten simple questions. These straightforward, life-changing practical steps will help you make this year — and every year — the best year of your life.”
Finally, a fun read for my Francophile readers – The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George.
“Monsieur Perdu calls himself a literary apothecary. From his floating bookstore in a barge on the Seine, he prescribes novels for the hardships of life. Using his intuitive feel for the exact book a reader needs, Perdu mends broken hearts and souls. The only person he can’t seem to heal through literature is himself; he’s still haunted by heartbreak after his great love disappeared. She left him with only a letter, which he has never opened.”
I’d love to know if you plan to read any of these and what else you’re reading at the moment. Also, do you have any reading goals for 2017? Leave me a comment!

I hope you’re able to read your selections this month. I don’t think I’ll be joining you with reading any of them this time though.
My December book reviews post goes up today (Monday) on my blog, if you want to check it out.
My 2017 reading goals are as follows:
*Read at least 217 books.
*Focus at least a large chunk of my reading on the books I’ve had on my Kindle waiting to be read for some time.
*Participate in the A-Z title reading challenge one of the groups I’m a member of over on Goodreads does each year.

Those are good goals. I’ll be sure to take a look at your post. As for my choices this month, I’ll tell you a little secret. I chose those because I’ve already read them (well, I’m finishing up The Little Paris Bookshop) and need to catch up on some from last year. The other two books this month are ones I’ve read more than once each so I’ll just skim them this time around.

Haha! Fair enough.
