Grocery Haul ~ Fifth Week of October

LWD GROCERY HAUL

October 2024 ~ Week Five

My usual grocery shopping hit a snag this week. As usual, I placed my order online Sunday night and received the usual email confirming the order. I had scheduled pickup for sometime between 11 a.m. and noon on Monday. When noon came and went without word from my shopper, I called to check on my order. She had no order on her end and said that the website orders were not working. My credit card had already been charged. She spoke with her boss and he is checking on it. As of today, I’ve not heard anything further. I’ll call and ask them to refund my credit card and make sure their system is back up and working before I place another order.

Fortunately I was able to get most of what my mom and I actually needed from Braum’s. I made a quick trip in there yesterday late afternoon, as well as getting bread at the convenience store where it’s always freshest.

sliced black forest ham (7 oz.) – $3.99
grape jelly (18 oz.) – $2.39
coleslaw mix (16 oz.) $1.89

fresh blueberries (1 pint) – $5.99

Subtotal: $26.01 (minus tax)

Convenience store:

Sara Lee bread (1 lb. 8 oz.) – $3.71

Total: $29.72

My planned menu for the week:

The only alteration I’ll need to make to this planned menu is regular coleslaw rather than the broccoli slaw as Braum’s doesn’t carry the broccoli slaw mix. I already had most of what I need on hand for this menu.
